One of the things I love most about blogging is interacting with my readers. Dissociated Press is not just about my story, though I’m trying to use what little privilege I have to put a face on mental illness and draw attention to it in my own small way. It is also a safe place for all of you.
You can contact me anytime by using this form or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. I welcome all forms of correspondence (see below for more) and am particularly interested in featuring some articles from my readers on the blog in the near future.
What can I send?
You can send me basically anything you want, though I most definitely do not appreciate nudes or disturbing images. Hate mail is okay—I can take it, and if you feel the need to express yourself in that manner, I understand. Be warned, however, that such correspondence will be shared, public-reading-style, with friends and drinks. Many lulz will be had.
I would also love to see some articles or artwork from readers. Now that I’m in a better place emotionally and I finally feel like I’m getting my life figured out, I want to transition this blog from its original confessional style to a place that focuses on featuring a staggering array of diverse voices, and those voices belong to all of you.
Lastly, though I’m not yet a licensed therapist, I want to make it clear that if you need to get something off your chest, I am completely willing to listen and help in whatever way I can, whether it’s giving advice, directing you to the proper resources, or just being a sympathetic ear. I am here for you. Please reach out if you’re struggling. Please reach out if you’re not struggling and just want to say “Hi” and connect with another human being. I find people fascinating and would love to hear from my lovely little reader base.
